Please mark your calendars for Tuesday, October 6, 2026, for a day of community engagement events at the Brinnon Community Center (306144 US Highway 101, Brinnon).
Schedule of October 6th Events (see attachments for details)
* 10:00 AM – 2:30 PM: Lower Dosewallips Flood Project Site Visit & Discussion #2
This is a collaborative planning session and site visit regarding flood hazard reduction in the Lower Dosewallips River valley. A host of government and non-government organization’s
representatives will be attending the site visit and participating in the workshop planning session.
* 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM: Community Social
Gather with neighbors to connect, meet community members, agency representatives, and the candidates running for the general election. Get involved prior to the forum. A casual seafood
and other finger foods buffet is being provided by local eatery’s, the South County Task Force, the Brinnon Planners and the North Hood Canal Chamber of Commerce. During the social
there will be some brief presentations.
* 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM: South County General Election Candidate Forum
Hosted by the North Hood Canal Chamber of Commerce, hear directly from the local candidates and learn about issues impacting our community. All six candidates will be in attendance for
the forum:
