Dear Commissioners,
I wanted to thank you for making time last Monday for myself and Mr. Rose to speak on behalf of the organizations we represent, but more importantly the community. I won’t pretend to
fully understand Mr. Rose’s intent or expectations, but I still think it is critical that the Task Force be inclusive and supportive of their project. I personally don’t think another
siloed group working independently will help at this time, and therein lies my concerns about Mr. Rose’s agenda.
I also appreciate that Jeremy, Tami and Greg were there to add context and cover the complexity of the Brinnon project. I appreciate them taking the time to be there on behalf of this
challenging effort and the county’s commitment to try and be part of the soluiton.. As I said, it’s complex, but I know you all know that.
In addition thanks for allowing me to demo Placer ai. Only wish I felt I had done a better presentation but being honest I am always my worst critic. Comes from my 10+ years as a performer.
I wasn’t so happy with my first hour with you either and wished I had made some points I didn’t think of in the moment. The albatross I wear around my neck in my public role. Again,
something I suspect all you understand as well. The things sometimes we wish we had said, or hadn’t.
All that said, again I appreciate your time and having the opportunity to speak with you and answer questions. I know some of you can’t make next Tuesday and I know some will. I do want
you to know we have organized a seafood focused buffet with local eateries and chefs providing the food. The Task Force and Chamber will be hosting. The Brinnon Planners have accepted
my invite to speak at the social, along with a few others. Then we follow that with the Candidate Forum.
A long and ambitious day. I’m hopeful we will have a Big Engagement Day for Brinnon next Tuesday, bringing Community and agencies together. I hope to set the stage for seeking what looks
like an impossible solution collaboratively. I’m optimistic there is one but I’m not naive to the hurdles ahead.
Best!
Andrew
Ps. I’ve attached a one sheeter on Placer ai Vs Zartico for you too (unless it gets blocked?)
