As many of you know, Jefferson County made the decision to not fund the Recovery Cafe in this last funding cycle. Also, the state has sent out notices that we can expect another cut to Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Services in the upcoming year. We recognize how the closet made such a difference in so many of our fellow community members' lives. Having a space to receive free clothing while enjoying conversations with all our lovely volunteers and staff always made the space welcoming. Dove House had to prioritize the limited funding with the increase of supportive services and food at the café. And with additional cuts occurring in the upcoming year, the importance of maintaining the level of services at the emergency shelter, transitional housing, and the community's advocacy space is vital for survivors. Thank you all for your support and understanding of these difficult decisions. Effective immediately, we will no longer be taking any clothing donations. Our last day for folks to shop for clothes will be October 15th. Lastly, as part of this restructuring, we will be closing all the Facebook pages except for Dove House Advocacy Services.
