Since 2001, the Roadless Rule has protected 60 million acres of the wildest remaining parts of our national forests across 37 states and Puerto Rico. It is one of the most important
conservation policies in public lands history. Simply put, it prevents road building and the harmful extractive industries that roads enable.
Now, the Trump administration aims to scrap it as part of its deregulation agenda. Today is the last day to submit a public comment: Tell the Forest Service what our wildest forests
mean to you and urge them to keep the Roadless Rule. <http://click.emails.sierraclub.org/?qs=ABB7InYiOjEsImQiOjUwMjF9AAcAAAAAB4UEGixfhMet7fbnMqxJLH1ZLUPdd-sJTZP-G1mU7oxFWdw4Peqb5e8NL04R91GUroXpOUqco

Last week, a federal judge issued an emergency injunction blocking border wall and road construction across the Big Bend region. This victory follows months of organizing and bipartisan
support to stop the destruction.
The Center for Biological Diversity, Friends of the Ruidosa Church, and a Big Bend-area river guide and landowner led the lawsuit that halted construction. The Sierra Club Lone Star
(Texas) Chapter and the National Parks Conservation Association also backed them in court, with Earthjustice representing us.
Now it's time to demand a PERMANENT halt to border construction in the Big Bend region. <http://click.emails.sierraclub.org/?qs=ABB7InYiOjEsImQiOjUwMjF9AAcAAAAAB4UEGixjrARZrhxI3Kci9vHy3hbIVDzsVwB4EV-

Corporate polluters asked the Trump administration to loosen drilling rules in Alaska's Western Arctic, and the Department of the Interior rewrote the process. The new proposal is worse
than we feared: fast-tracked oil and gas approvals, no public input, no environmental review, and rubber-stamped, rushed decisions. Now 23 million acres of public land, which are home
to caribou, polar bears, and migratory birds, hang in the balance.
Act now! Tell the Bureau of Land Management to stop the Arctic Giveaway! <http://click.emails.sierraclub.org/?qs=ABB7InYiOjEsImQiOjUwMjF9AAcAAAAAB4UEGixqi2kmWBLw4dwExPpqWC98qGucFkm2QsinNsuFp9H4ie6tRa

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is moving forward with gutting the Clean Water Act by further limiting which waters are protected at the federal level. The administration has
opened a very short comment period on its final Waters of the United States rule. We must speak up and tell the EPA that we need to strengthen, not weaken, protections for clean water.

The Trump administration finalized a rule last week that significantly rolls back fuel economy standards on motor vehicles -- a move that critics say will harm public health and the
environment and hit consumers in the pocketbook. It comes as gas prices have skyrocketed and Americans are reeling from both an affordability crisis and a climate crisis driven by fossil
fuels.

The Trump administration is trying to delist wolves to placate frustrated ranchers whose bottom lines tariffs are undercutting. Blaming the big bad wolf is an old trope beloved by ranchers,
but allowing the killing of wolves won't stop predation, which accounts for less than 1 percent of cattle deaths.
Read how these efforts will harm the future population of gray wolves and fail to help the beef industry. <http://click.emails.sierraclub.org/?qs=ABB7InYiOjEsImQiOjUwMjF9AAcAAAAAB4UEGix5o1OKNBYRR84rv
