Incentive program updates
Incentive-eligible Tier 2 space
We have received a handful of Tier 2 Early Adopter Incentive applications with the gross floor area (GFA) field completed incorrectly.
The GFA of parking areas, unconditioned or semi-heated spaces, and privately owned dwelling units (condos) are not eligible. While the Clean Buildings Portal can account for parking
and remove it from a building’s total GFA, the portal cannot account for any unconditioned/semi-heated spaces or condo spaces.
On the incentive page of the Tier 2 application, the owner-reported GFA field is automatically populated. If that owner-reported GFA includes any unconditioned or semi-conditioned space,
and/or any privately owned dwelling units (condos), that GFA should be entered in the subsequent field labeled "Sum of parking/unconditioned/semi-conditioned spaces (sf)."
If there's no ineligible space, applicants can enter a zero, as the screenshot demonstrates below:
