FOR THE WEEK OF: June 27. 2011
I. Description -- A brief description of the agenda item.
Code Publishing, Inc. provides codification services for the Jefferson County
Code. This amendment is to have the County's Code, hosted on-line by Code
Publishing, and be available in HTML format which provides better search
capability for the user.
II. Issues -- A short outline of the major issues or areas that
should be given particular attention.
There is a one time fee of $150.00 to convert the current Code into HTML
format. The on-line version of the Code will be updated as soon as an ordinance
is sent to Code Publishing requiring fewer printed copies. The cost of the hosting
fee should be offset by the reduction in the number of printed updates needed.
III. Action -- What is the nature of the action the Board is being
asked to take (discussion, approval of a contract, support for a grant, etc.).
Approve this contract amendment.
IV. You may also want to express the department's position or
recommendation. Suggested wording for the motion (a motion to approve/adopt/accept
and a motion to deny/remand) would help especially if there are specific items or wording that
needs to be covered in the motion.
Recommend approval.

Convert County Code to HTML format 150.00 ooe-time setup fee
Code Publishing Co. will convert the Jefferson County Code to an HTML fonnat for Internet hosting
and searching.
Internet Hosting for Municipal Code:
Code Publishing Co. will host the searchable Jefferson County Code on the company's web server and
will provide a link to the County's web site. The online code can be supplemented on demand with
each ordinance provided by the County. Ordinances should be uploaded both in word processing
format and in scanned PDP format for signed copies (or mail hard copies via USPS) to:
