Statement of Issue:
A request to adopt a Resolution creating a County Road Project to acquire necessary right of

Therefore, in an effort to plan ahead for potential emergency, the Department of Public
Works is seeking to create the above referenced project to acquire additional right of way
necessary to allow the Department to react quickly to repair future damage and maintain
public access for residents lying easterly of the subject site. Upon approval of the attached
resolution, the Department of Public Works will initiate the approved acquisition procedures,
which will include future authorization and concurrence from the Board with respect to the
actual right of way acquisition.
Fiscal Impact:
The 6-Year Transportation Improvement Program contains a programmatic project category,
Countywide Safety Improvements (No. 21), for small projects like this. The estimated cost
for this right of way acquisition project is $15,000.00.
