Supplemental Agreement for Consultant Services with Tetra Tech,
Inc. for Dismal Creek Culvert Replacement, Upper Hoh Rd. M.P.

Statement of Issue: Public Works staff requests a modification of the scope of work
and budget in the basic agreement with Tetra Tech, Inc. to include additional services
for Dismal Creek Culvert Replacement.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's & Con's: This supplement to the existing scope of
work between Jefferson County and Tetra Tech is for construction assistance services
for Dismal Creek Culvert Replacement. These services will include review of shop
drawings and calculations for the 3-sided box culvert, performing a load rating for the
box culvert, and assisting with responses to Contractor questions during construction.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The Tetra Tech agreement covers engineering
design services at three sites, Alder Creek Tributary, Spruce Creek, and Dismal Creek.
The current, and new maximum amounts payable are summarized below:

Recommendation: The Board is requested to execute the Supplemental Agreement
with Tetra Tech, Inc., and return to Public Works.
