Public Works has surplus equipment to be disposed, RCW 36.34.020, 36.34.030,
36.34.340, 36.34.050 & 36.34.090 outline statutory requirements to dispose of
property.
Notice to the public has been given (august 10th and 17th)
list of equipment attached.

COUNTY PROPERTY )
WHEREAS
, it is the desire of the County Commissioners of Jefferson County to dispose
of surplus property; and
WHEREAS
, the various departments have indicated a need to dispose of those items on
the list of surplus equipment attached to this resolution, for public auction to be held September
17, 2011 at Stokes Auctions Port Orchard, WA and September 21, 2011 at Ritchie Brothers
Olympia; and
WHEREAS
, the requirement of RCW 36.34.020 that an intention to declare surplus be
published with a Notice of Public Hearing regarding the disposal of any County property has
been met and the public hearing held on August 22, 2011 at 10:30 a.m,; and
WHEREAS
, the Commissioners heard no objection to the declaration of these items as
surplus.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
, by the Commissioners of Jefferson County
that they make a finding and determination as required by RCW 36.34.050 to declare the
particularly described property as surplus and allow the Treasurer to proceed with the disposition
of said surplus items. List of items available through Treasurer’s office or website.
