RESOLUTION NO. 43-11
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the County Commissioners of Jefferson County to dispose of
surplus property; and
WHEREAS, a request has been received to purchase parcel # 721192010; and
WHEREAS, the County Property Committee has approved the disposal of that parcel; and
WHEREAS, the requirement ofRCW 36.35.150 that The county legislative authority may dispose .
of tax foreclosed property by private negotiation, without a call for bids, for not less than the principal
amount of the unpaid taxes in any of the following cases: (1) When the sale is to any governmental
agency and for public purposes; (2) when the county legislative authority determines that it is not practical
to build on the property due to the physical characteristics of the property or legal restrictions on
construction activities on the property; (3) when the property has an assessed value of less than five
hundred dollars and the property is sold to an adjoining landowner; or (4) when no acceptable bids were
received at the attempted public auction of the property, if the sale is made within twelve months from the
date of the attempted public auction. Items 2 & 3 have been met: and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of Jefferson County that they
make a finding and determination as required by RCW 36.35.150 to declare the particularly described
property as surplus and allow the Treasurer to proceed with the disposition of said property.

SUBJECT: Disposal of Surplus County Property
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
A request to purchase Parcel # 721192 OlD has been received with an offer to pay $2000.00.
ANALYSIS:
RCW 36.35.150 allows for the sale of Tax 11tIe property If conditions have been met.
. It Is determined the parcells not practlcal for building
'. The property has an assessed value of less than $500.00
The parcel is an eight (8) foot strip running north and south - bisected by Thorndyke Road
and Is not buildable.
The property Is exempt from assessment as It Is county owned, however the Assessor
confirmed the value Is less than $500.00
No bids were accepted at the time of auctlon.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Proceeds distributed to entities on tax code
RECOMI\fENDATION:
Approve sale with Resolution Notice of Intention to Sell.
