STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
HEARING NOTICE re: Setting of Ad Valorem Tax Levies for 2012
ANALYSIS:
State law (RCW 84.55.120) requires that the Commissioners hold a public hearing on the 2012 Ad Valorem
Tax Levies forlevy in 2011 and collection in 2012.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve HEARING NOTICE re: Setting of Ad Valorem Tax Levies for 2012; Hearing Scheduled for
Monday, November 21,2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioner's Chambers

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing is scheduled by the Jefferson County
Board of Commissioners for MONDAY. November 21.2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the
Commissioners' Chamber, County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson Street, Port Townsend, W A
98368 to consider the following:
A proposed Resolution setting the 2012 Ad Valorem Tax Levies
for Jefferson County for levy in 2011 and collection in 2012
Proposed Tax Increase for 2012: (Pursuant to Chapter 84.55.120 RCWl
The Board of County Commissioners has proposed increases of up to one percent (1 %) in the
County Regular Tax Levy and the County Road District Tax Levy and for the County
Conservation Futures Tax Levy plus increases for al11evies resulting from new construction,
improvement to property, any increase in the assessed value of state-assessed property, and any
refunds from the previous year.
