Statement of Issue: Public Works staff requests a modification to the agreement
with Tetra Tech, Inc. to extend the time for completion from December 31, 2011 to
December 31,2012.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's & Con's: This supplement to the agreement between
Jefferson County and Tetra Tech is for extending the time for completion to
December 31, 2012. Culvert replacements that were originally planned for
construction in 2011 have been shifted to 2012 construction in order to avoid conflicts
with other Upper Hoh Road projects. As a result, design and permitting of these
projects will not be completed by the current time for completion of December 31,
2011.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: This supplement is only a time extension. The
maximum amount payable will remain at the current amount of $467,174.51. This
work Is funded at 86.5% by the Federal Highway Administration and 13.5% by the
County Road Fund.

Recommendation: The Board is requested to execute the three originals of the
Supplemental Agreement with Tetra Tech, Inc., and return two originals to Public
Works.

The County of Jefferson, State of Washington, desires to supplement the agreement entered into
with Tetra Tech, Inc. and executed on January 19,2010 and identified as:
Tetra Tech - Upper Hoh Road
All provisions in the basic agreement remain in effect except as expressly modified by this
supplement.
The changes to the agreement are described as follows:

Section IV, TIME FOR BEGINNING AND COMPLETION, is amended to change the date for
completion of the work to read:
This contract will expire on December 31. 2012
