NOTICE OF INTENTION)
TO DISPOSE OF SURPLUS
COUNTY PROPERTY )
RESOLUTION NO. 13-12 :
)
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the County Commissioners of Jefferson County to dispose of
surplus property; and
WHEREAS, a request bas been received from Public works to dispose of a surplus equipment;
and
WHEREAS, the requirement ofRCW 36.34.020 that the county legislative anthority may dispose
surplus, without public notice if the value is less than two thousand five hundred dollars; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the equipment will be sold for scrap metal
,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Commi!l!lioners of Jefferson County that they
make a finding and determination as required by RCW 36.3~.020 to declare the particularly described
property as surplus and allow the Treasurer to proceed with the disposition of said property.

SfATEMENT OF TCClJE: Approval of Notice of Intention to sell surplus equIpment.
ANALYm!;i:
PubUc Works and SOlid Waste several Items to be declared surplus. A list of Items Is attached. These Items are
valued at less than $2500.00 and may be disposed of without public notice or auction (RtW 36.34.020). They
will be destroyed or, In the case of Solid Waste, the boxes will be sold as scrap. The scrap metal value Is
shown on the equipment list.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Scrap metal sale proceeds distributed to solid waste
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve Resolution to DIspose of Items
