FROM: SUBJECT: Agenda Item - Discovery Bay Clean Water Project, #G0800056, Amendment #2 with Department of Ecology; October 10, 2007 - upon signature; reduced by $159,118.36 totaling $336,519.64 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Jefferson County Public Health, Water Quality Dlvlslon, requests Board approval of the Discovery Bay Clean Water Project, #G0800056, Amendment #2 with Deparbnent of Ecology; October 10, 2007 - upon signature; reduced by $159,118.36 totaling $336,519.64 ANALYSIS/STRATEGIC GOALS/PRO'S and CON'S: The Discovery Bay Clean Water Project was completed by Jefferson County Public Health and Jefferson County Conservation DIstrict in December 2011. This project focused on water quality monitoring, assisting farmers with best management practices, and surveying the status of septic systems throughOut the basin. The project team achieved Its goals and completed the work under budget and on time. This amendment Is for a de-obllgatlon of funds not spent during the project. FISCAL IMPACT/COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS: This amendment reduces funds by $159,118.36 and closes out the Discovery Bay Clean Water Project Grant #0800056, of which 75% was Ecology's share. DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY State of Washington AMENDMENT NO.2 (FINAL) TO GRANT AGREEMENT NO. G0800056 BETWEEN THE STATE OF WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY AND JEFFERSON COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH PURPOSE: To amend the above-referenced grant agreement between the Department of Ecology [DEPARTMENT] and Jefferson County Public Health [RECIPIENT] for the Discovery Bay Clean Water Project. This amendment is needed to adjust the budget to reflect the final eligible costs of the project and to close out the project. IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED that the AGREEMENT is amended as follows: I. The total Eligible Project Cost for the project is reduced by $212,157.15 from $660,850.00 to $448,692.85. The GRANT Amount (state share) will be reduced by $159,118.36 from $495,638.00 to $336,519.64. 2. The PROJECT budget in the original AGREEMENT is no longer valid. Jefferson County Public Health Discovery Bay Clean Water Project Page 2 Except as expressly provided by this amendment, all other terms and conditions of the original AGREEMENT and all amendments thereto remain in full force and effect.
