Resolution to Apply for I:..WCF Grant Funding from RCO
Rick Tollefson Memorial Trail Project
To:
Statement of Issue:
The Board is asked to authorize Public Works to apply to the Recreation and
Conservation Office (RCO) for grant funds from the Land and Water Conservation Fund
(LWCF) Program. This grant application wlll request LWCF funding for the Rick
Tollefson Memorial Trail Project.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's B: Con's:
The Rick Tollefson Memorial Trail Project is number seven on the 2012-2017 Six Year
Transportation Improvement Program and is included in the 2011 Annual Construction
Program.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis:
This LWCF grant from RCO wlllleverage the existing State and Local funding already
in place for this project.
Recommendation:
The Board is asked to sign the authorizing resolution and return one copy to Public
Works.
