The call for Bids was issued by the Board of County Commissioners on June 11, 2012.

Due notice of the Call for Bids was given as required by law.

Sealed Bids were received and opened in public on July 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the
Commissioner’s Chambers.

The Jefferson County Sheriff Office has completed reviewing the bids and have chosen
the higher bid for the following but not exclusive reasoning:
1.The successful bidder has experience of construction of like vessels and trailers
with similar specifications.
2. Bidder has history of building RHIB boat construction as required per Item #179
of the Building Specification Requirements.
3.The bidder also engineered the hull design for larger horsepower 250 hp engines
which increases top speed, which enhances rapid deployment and provides quicker
life saving response times.
4.Bid amount still comes under grant amount awarded
The Jefferson County Sheriff Office recommends that the construction contract be awarded to the
bidder: Lee Shore Boats Inc. of Port Angeles, Washington for their bid Amount of $257,742.68
