He will be attending a Peninsula Re,ianal I"ransportation Planning C)rganization (PRTPO) and Resource Conservation and Development (RCc~I)) meeting this week. The meeting was recessed at 9:59 a.m. and reconvened at 10:06 a.m with all three Commissioners present.. Manager Sue Trettevik explained that the information received from Conuuissioner Peter Goldtnark contained informarion that did not include sales and the report being presented today is significantly cliffcrcnt to rciicct con'ect information. llNR State Lauds Assistant Drew Rosanbalm will speak to staff in the office in Oh•mpia to bring their attention to tktis matter. \ir. Kosanbalm stated DNK's fiscal year 2012 is complete, ending .Tuly 1, 2012. The total income through the second quarter of calendar year 20 i _' is $570,000. Prgjected revenue Ibr the full year is approximatch $900,000 for the calendar year of 2012. Estimated net value under contract after December is $1.G million. Commissioner Sullivan stated that the word "pursue' used to explain the: Cottnri' is pursing the options of allowing in-water net pens is important as they tray determine othct'vvisc. FIe suggested adding language in the beginning of the letter that states `'!efferson Cou:tty reviewed the recently adopted and Ecology approved \Ghatcom County S\'iP and initially considered adopting similar language regarding net pens, but ryas infomted that F_.cologry uo longer fomtd this language acceptable" He would also like the letter to state how wtfortunate it is that llOT''s revised stance on net pens was expressed. Commissioner .Tohnson disagreed with a statement in the Letter that stated the County is pursing the option of in- water net pens [o obtain local control on the S1vIP. DOF is forcing the County to allow' the in-evater net pens. Conunissioncr Suliivar. stated it is to keep control of other issues in the S\~iP. Chairman ±lustin stated DOL• may change the entire S\4P ii ndcmaking occurs. Commissioner .lohnson expressed his chagrin li>r DOF.'s process of ndemaking if the County does not allow in-water net pens. Conmtissioner Sullivan stated he supported attd moved to approve the letter with the changes discussed. Chairan Austin seconded the motion County Administrator ~iorlev reviewed the changes discussed. The motion carried by a unanimous vote, noting Commissioner Jolntson supported the motion under protest.
