.1. WORKSHOP MEETING
MINUTES OF MARCH 22, 1978
I. OPENING BUSINESS
Vice Chairman Stevens called the meeting to order at 7:50 p.m.
Members present were Finis Stevens, Dorithe Harrington, Harry Pollard, Norris
Short, and Eva Taylor.
A quorum was declared by Vice Chairman Stevens.
Representing the Planning Department were Director David Cunningham, Community
Development Planner David Goldsmith, and Secretary Laura Southmayd.
County Assessor Jeff Ingman and County Commissioner B.G. Brown were present.
II. JEFFERSON COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
David Cunningham read the draft section on "Open Space." As it was being read,
members asked questions of Mr. Cunningham, Assessor Jeff Ingman, and County
Commissioner B.G. Brown.
A major issue in discussing this section on the Open Space Taxation Act was
defining the criteria used to approve applications for current use tax assess-
ment. Members came to no conclusions on those for protection of streams and
water supplies.
Mr. Cunningham noted that within one or two more meetings the Commission would
be finished reviewing the plan.
III. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 9:55 p.m.
IV. NEXT MEETING
The next meeting is scheduled for April 5, 1978.
