MINUTES OF MARCH 19, 1975
I. Opening Business
7:37 p.m. Chairman Norris Short called the meeting to order.
Members .present were Finis Stevens, Chet Dalgleish, Fred Lester, Ed Wainwright,
Karl Randblp, Fred Houghton
Planning Department staff present were David Cunningham and Tom Aumock.
Minutes of March 5, 1975 were approved as mailed.
II. Correspondence

A-95 Review Letter regarding U.S. Department of Interior
February 24, 1975 letter of Representative Chandler regarding House Bill 522
III. Road and Plat Vacations -
A. Cotton Road Vacation Petition: Planning Director, Dave Cunningham noted
that the subject petition was a resubmittal of an earlier petition in which the
Planning Commission had reviewed and made recommendation to the Board in a
letter dated October 18, 1974. Mr. Cunningham read the letter. Members noted
that the resubmitted petition did not alter the Commissions earlier position.
Chet Dalgleish moved that the Planning Commission restatt its previous, recommen-
dation to the Board. Notion seconded and carried by unanimous vote.
B. M.L. Anderson, Petition for Vacation of Portion of Plat: Planning Director;
Dave Cunningham presented -the petition for M.L. Anderson to vacate a portion of
Hiddendale Tracts Addition near Quilcene on the basis that,the area to be vacated
is. hazardous. Mr. Cunningham refered to a Planning Commission policy regarding
the encouragement to vacate any old plats in the interest of providing more
adequately planned plats.. Notion was made by Chet Dalgleish to make recommenda-
tion of approval to the Board. Motion seconded and carried by unanimous vote
with one abstention.

IV. Plat of Palmer's Homesit6 Addition
David Cunningham presented a review of preliminary plat conditional approval and
noted that the approval period has expired without the submi.ttal of a final plat.
V. Trails Planning Council
David Cunningham noted that the County Commis-sioners have agreed to appoint a
Trails Planning Council. Chet Dalgleish suggested that Eva Taylor would be an
excellent -candidate for an appointment.
VI. Comprehensive Plan
The Parks and Recreation policies were discussed. Planning Director Dave
Cunningham presented a draft which was discussed. Copy of said draft is attw ed
to the official minutes. Members agreed to discuss. a revised draft at l � t
Meeting containing the changes discussed at this meeting.

VII. Next Fleeting.
The next meeting will be April 2, 1975.
VIII.Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 p.m.
