Minutes of January 23, 1974
8.00 PX. Chairlalan Norris Short called the meeting to order.
Members present were Norris Short, Karl Randolph, Fred Houghton, Harry Pollard,
Eva Taylor.
Planning Department Staff present
Guests included Randy Durant, District Sanitarian; Hanford Choate, Developerp
B. G. Brown, Commissioner.
Old Business
-p Pleasant Tides Division 2
Planning Director Dave Cunningham recapped the background of this preliminary plat
application.
''Randy Durant -reported the first Olympic Health District position regarding the plat,
and then read the revised recommendation. It composed of an addition to the
'i ftstrictions .& Covenants; -of -Pleasant Tides Divisions outlining the purpose of lot
use as recreational rather than as peftmnent.rdAidtAtUa. As recreational in nature,
a one-bedroem structure would meet Oly. Health :district Sanit,+tion requirements for
septic systems at Pleasant Tides Division. 2. It was also noted that Lots 12'throu;h:
IS will be sold contingent upon permits: issued by the Health Department.
After lengthy discussion, Karl Randolph moved to recommend approval according to
the conditions set forth by the Health, Engineering, and Planning Departments,
Fred Houghton seconded the motion. A undnimous.vote was then recorded.
Road Vacations
The P1.anning Department was unable to investigate the Black Point Road Vacation
Petition submitted'to the Planning Commission for this meeting, but will report
findings -at the February 6 Weting,
The Termination Point Road Vacation Petition was discussed; however, it was tabled
until farther information on land co.ership is found.

New meting of the Planning Commission will be February 6, 1974 at 700 i4
in=the Courthouse . NO meeting will be on January 30th.
