Workshop Meeting of February 26, 1974
Members present were Fred Lester., Chet Dalgleish, Finis Stevens, Eva. Taylor, Karl
Randolph, Norris 'short.
Planning Department Staff was -present.
— General Use District;(G) -- Tabled until all other districts are completed in
draft form.
— Eight residential districts were presented by Karl Randolph.
It was agreed that eight are adequate because they cover an adequate bpectrum of sizes and densities.
It was generally agreed that Planned Unit Developments should be treated as a
"floating zone" rather tkan as Conditional Uses so that more local citizen
involvement could be obtained.
_4riculltural Residential District
The question of how to treat mobile homes in residential areas is to be discUOWd
at a Later date.
It was suggested that each district have a section pertaining to "Supplementary
Performance Standards" for such things as signs and billboards.
It was suggested that the term -"buffer -st O" 'be.. defined. -at .soe point in the text.
Suburban Residential District
It was suggested that the term "family" be defined in the text.
It wasN4#iedthat home occupations should be discussed and placed at an appropriate
place in the text.
