Minutes of May 1, 1974
7:45 P.M. - Chairman Norris Short called the meeting to order.
Members Present were Finis Stevens, Eva Taylor, Harry Pollard, Chet Dalgliesh,
Karl Randolph, Fred Lester, and Fred Houghtm.
Planning Department Staff were present
Minutes of April 18, 1974: a correction was made under Old Business on the
"Quorum Topic" that the phrase "at meetings" be changed to "m voting".
Minutes were then approved as corrected on a motion by Karl Randolph.

-Planting Commission Vacancy: Ms. Marsha Switzer volunteered her application for
bership in the Planning Commission.
-Seaire Substantial. Development Permit Application: Public testimony hearing was
held on Monday April Z. Secondly, the local Health Department has changed its
position in regards to the Plat Report now before the Planning Commission.
New Business:
-Hermitage Camp Club Project. Chet Dalgliesh brought members up to date on the
Pending application for this project, as regards the basic project, the site,
and some problems that are being experienced. David Cunningham read a letter
being drafted to E. Martin Bonde, Project Coordinator, regarding information that
will be required for official application.
-Handouts made to members by the -Planning Department included:
"Local Tax Impact of Recreation Subdivisions --A Case Study"
"Draft Jefferson Co. Land Use is Development Codes tCommercialt
section and table of contents"

—Trident: Planning Director David Cunningham made note of his presentation at
a Trident Public Hearing at Central Kitsap during the week.
—Seamount Estates Preliminary Plat Conditionss Chet Dalgliesh reported on the
progress of the improvements phase as regards the conditional,r.'equirements
of the preliminary plat approval of Seamount Estates.
Subdivision Ordinance
Motion was made to table discussion of Fees by Fred Houghton.
Meeting Adjourned on a motion by all members.
