HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-12-1974M, I Minutes of June 12 I. 7:40 p.m. Chairman Norris Short called the meeting to order. II> Members present were Fred Houghton, Rva Taylor, Fred Lester, Finis Stevens. Also present was Planning Director David Cunningham. ITIS Old Business - Members continued the discussion of long subdivisions. Topics discussed were variances, surveys and -tonumentation, and bonding. IY Subdivision Ordinapce (A) Discussion began on the administrative section for short subdivisions. It was agreed that if the County does not take action on a proposed subdivision within a 30 day time limit as specified by State Law, that the County's nonaction will be construed as approval. Planning Director Dave Cunningham presented a sample short subdivision application form. Members agreed that the form, or one quite similar, be used. The main concern was that the application form and review process be simple and efficient. (8) Members debated whether or not surveys should be required for short subdivis- ions. I(ot'being able to reach a conclusive agreement, it was decided that the question of surveys for short plats be one of the main topics'for discussion at the forthcoming community meetings. (C) Prgcise revisions to the Work Draft of the subdivision ordinance will be reflected in the secopd draft of the proposed regulations. Public Meetings on Subdivision Regulations V. Members discussed the upcoming meetings at Chimacum and Quilcene for the S&A- eral citgenry and the meeting in Port Townsend for real.estate brokers, bankers, builders, and developers. It was agreed that the -meetings should primarily bo for the reason of exchanging conceptual ideas regarding -subdivision development rather than a detailed review of the proposed draft regulations. �.
