Minutes of September 4, 1974
f. 7:55 p.m. Chairman Norris Short called the meeting to order
Members Present: Finis Stevens, Chet Ralgliesh, Fred, Lester, Ed Waitwright,
Marry Pollard, Earl Randolph, Fred Houghton

III. Preliminary plats:
A. Heh Rain Forest Lots: Planning Dikeeter David i presented
the proposed plat and discussed flat Report. Motim by Karl
Randolph: that the Planning Commission recommend approval of the
preliminary plat of Hoh Rain .Forest Lots to the City Comissifters
subject to the condi.ti; itequi:rements established in the Plat

Motion seconded. Voting was six in favor, one against. MotiOn
carried. Finis Stevads requested that the record show his Vq0tow its
against.

i.. Cunningham presented the proposed plat and discussed the Plat
Report. Motion by Karl that the ylaunning Comission recom-
mended approval subject po the conditions on the plat report.
Seconded by.Ed Wairiiirighi. Unanimous approval.
IV. Report on Subdivision Ordinance -
David Cunningham noted that the hearing has been continued Ufttil
September 16. In Dave's discussion with the County Attorneys,
the attorneys Vant the Ordinance published verbatum and a final
public hearing. erefore; the realistic date for adoption is
October 1st. 4
B. Report on the Uniform Building, Fire, plumbing, Mechanical Codes*.
Comi.ssioners will review the codes to see what has to be done,
and what the P1a Aning COMaSsions rule will. be. Norris posited
that a written legal opinion is necessary for what the planning
Commission can or cannot do in the process of adopting the codes.
VI. Zoning Topic:
Chairman Short called for Commission opinion regarding the estab-
lishment of a subconnittee to establish alternatives and make
recommendations to the Ccrosaission reosrding viable alternatives of
land use management for Jefferson County,
VII. Election of Officers:
Voting ended with Fred Houghton as dice Chairman, Marry pollard as
honorary Treasurer. A tie vote for Chairman Lester and
Short. .Another ballet produced a tie. Fester wit4drew.
