Assessor \\'estennan revic+wed the history of tax levies and inllation rates for the State of Vb'ashinaton
which resulted in the creation of developing a ieuer explaining the tax levy amount and the adoption of
levy rates by resolutions amtualiy. 7 he amounts that arc adopted ht the resoluticm~ <tre in addition to new
construction and improvematis to propertti, refunds and any increase it: rho valua ofstate-assessed
property.

Linda I Ien_oe: Suggested puolishing an explanation on the Count's website of the calculation of real
and personal property taxes, including that the one percent tax base is applied to lass years revenues and
not on a persrmal tax bill and that nc+v construction money is in addition to the levies. 1t is very
cattusing. Ranked capacity is something that was allo+acd in the pas;. [s battlced capacity something
that is also included in the calculation and has the Ceunry always had a one percent increase'

is preparing for the power to be snitched over from Puet Sound Energy (=PSE) to the PUD and there is
an average of ten luforrnation Technology (IT) staff for a power company. l'he P[;D has ono Tl' stall
