HomeMy WebLinkAbout071 12�- `1��\nnQ``tt,�e JEFFERSON COUNTY STATE OF WASHINGTON In the Matter of Declaring the Results } Of the Election of Jefferson County } RESOLUTION NO. 71 -12 Parks and Recreation District No. 2 } WHEREAS, at the General Election held on November 6, 2012, a proposition to form a Parks and Recreation District to be located in Brinnon was submitted to the voters of Precinct No. 204 for their approval or rejection; and WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Auditor has certified in writing that on November 27, 2012 the General Election results were officially certified and a majority of all votes cast upon the said proposition were in favor of the formation of a Parks and Recreation Commission located in Brinnon; and WHEREAS, at the General Election five (5) Parks and Recreation Commissioners were elected to each commission position from within the boundary (Precinct No. 204) as per RCW 36.69.070; and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, such territory is duly organized as Park and Recreation District No. 2 and that the following named candidates received the highest number of votes for Park Commissioners of said District and are duly elected as the first Park and Recreation Commissioners of Jefferson County Parks and Recreation District No. 2. Per RCW 36.69.080 the Board must approve a Resolution declaring the results of the General Election following the certification of the Auditor's Office which occurred on November 27, 2012. This resolution also includes the names of the five (5) newly elected Parks and Recreation Commissioners and designates their terms as outlined in RCW 36.69.070.
