IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that an appropriation from the officially adopted road fund budget and based on the County Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the purpose shown: PURPOSE APPROPRIATION Engineering $ 78,000 Right of Way $ 0 Sub-Total $ 78,000 Construction: $ 855,000 TOTAL $ 933,000 This project is included in the officially adopted annual road program as Item No. X The project is hereby made a part of the officially adopted annual road program in accordance with R.C.W. 36.81.130. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that: X The construction is to be accomplished by contract in accordance with R.C.W. 36.77.020 et. seq. The construction is to be accomplished by County forces in accordance with R.C.W. 36.77.065 and W.A.C. 136.18. Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Fx Con's: The Center Road Asphalt Overlay Phase 5 project will rehabilitate the paved surface of this roadway segment by constructing a 2-inch asphalt overlay. The project extends from milepost MP 0.00 (Chimacum intersection) to milepost MP 2.26 where the Phase 4 asphalt overlay, constructed in 2009 with Federal stimulus funds, began. This is project #17 on the 2013-2018 Six Year Transportation Improvement Plan. Construction is scheduled for summer 2014. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The project is estimated to cost $933,000. A State Rural Arterial Program (RAP) grant wilt fund 90% of the project. Remaining project funds will come from the Federal Surface Transportation Program. Recommendation: Please adopt and sign the attached Resolution adding the project to the 2013 Annual Road Construction Program.
