IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that Center Road, County Road No.931507, from M.P. 0.00 to M.P. 2.26,
be improved as follows:
Construct a 2-inch a~halt overlay to resurface and restore (2R) this segment.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that an appropriation from the officially adopted road fund budget and based on
the County Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the purpose shown:
PURPOSE APPROPRIATION
Engineering $ 78,000
Right of Way $ 0
Sub-Total $ 78,000
Construction: $ 855,000
TOTAL $ 933,000
This project is included in the officially adopted annual road program as Item No.
X The project is hereby made a part of the officially adopted annual road program in accordance with
R.C.W. 36.81.130.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that:
X The construction is to be accomplished by contract in accordance with R.C.W. 36.77.020 et. seq.
The construction is to be accomplished by County forces in accordance with R.C.W. 36.77.065 and
W.A.C. 136.18.

Subject: Center Road Asphalt Overlay Phase 5 (MP 0.00 - MP 2.26)
Resolution to Improve Roadway
Statement of Issue: Adopt the attached Resolution which creates a project to
resurface and restore (2R) Center Road from milepost 0.00 to 2.26 and adds the
project to the 2013 Annual Road Construction Program.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Fx Con's: The Center Road Asphalt Overlay Phase 5
project will rehabilitate the paved surface of this roadway segment by constructing a
2-inch asphalt overlay. The project extends from milepost MP 0.00 (Chimacum
intersection) to milepost MP 2.26 where the Phase 4 asphalt overlay, constructed in
2009 with Federal stimulus funds, began. This is project #17 on the 2013-2018 Six
Year Transportation Improvement Plan. Construction is scheduled for summer 2014.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The project is estimated to cost $933,000. A
State Rural Arterial Program (RAP) grant wilt fund 90% of the project. Remaining
project funds will come from the Federal Surface Transportation Program.
Recommendation: Please adopt and sign the attached Resolution adding the project
to the 2013 Annual Road Construction Program.
