Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's & Con's: A Call for Bids was issued by the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners on May 20, 2013. This bid opening is for the improvement of various rural and urban collector roads throughout the Jefferson County Road System and includes installation of traffic signs, guardrails with end treatments, recessed pavement markers, and transverse rumble strips. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The Engineer's Estimate is $546,064. This will be funded at 100% by the Federal Highway Administration. Recommendation: The Board is requested to witness the public bid opening and direct Public Works to review the bids and make a recommendation for award at a later date.
