MINUTES
Special Mating
August 8, 2013
Chairman John Austin called the meeting to order at approximately ]:02 p m. at the
Hoh Tribal Center. Commissioner David Sullivan, Commissioner Phil Johnson and County
Administrator Philip Morley were present.
County Administrator Philip Morley served not meeting frelitator and welcomed everyone. He
introduced the Commissioners wbo each gave a report on current activities they are involved in.
After introductions and review of the format for the participatory exercise, the following citizen
questims; and comments were discussed:
LAW &ENTICE
• Heroin and dregs are increasing in the community.
PARKS & RECREATION
• Packs donated by slated resident me now Discover Pass required. This angers people.
• Why does Jefferson County support the Discover Pass?
FINANCE
• How do Commissioners feel about disappearing revenue due in forest land being taken off the
tax roll? What am you going to do about it? How will tha affect the bottom line? How will that
affect the Jumar Taxing Districts?
• How are County finances right now?
• Does da County have a retirement fwd liability?
ROADS AND TRANSPORTATION
The transit is a lifeline Patricide who eve on the West End.
• Asectionofroad on the West End is in immediateneed ofrepairs.
MISCELLANEOUS
• How do wept the Commissioner's attention ifwe have a concem?
• Why isn't the meeting at the Queers School wham more people could participate?
• Is the Freeholder's Forum going to be live - streamed?
