RE: Correction of Legal Description of Lot 9 Block 2 of Eisenbeis Addition
STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Correction to the legal description of Lot 9 Block 2 of the
Eisenbeis Addition, located in Kali Tai, for recording with the Jefferson County Deed.
ANALYSIS: In 2004 the County conveyed to the City of Port Townsend remaining Kali Tai
parcels held by the County in exchange for $25,000 consideration. The legal description of Lot 9
Block 2 of the Eisenbeis Addition was flawed, inadvertently excluding the parcel from the final
exchange. The enclosed corrected legal description fixes this flaw and completes the
conveyance.
Upon execution by the Board of County Commissioners, the Correction of Legal Description
would be recorded with the County Auditor, along with the original 2004 Jefferson County
Deed, which was previously recorded under AFN 432088 on March 15, 2004 and re- recorded
under AFN 482501 on March 26, 2004.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: Pass a motion approving the Correction of Legal Description, and
directing the recording with the County Auditor of the Correction of Legal Description along
with the 2004 Jefferson County Deed.

CORRECTION OF LEGAL DESCRIPTION
This Deed, conveying certain real property in the vicinity of Kah Tai lagoon, from Jefferson
County to the City of Port Townsend, was recorded on March 15, 2004 under AFN 482088, and was
subsequently re- recorded on March 26, 2004 under AFN 482501 to correct the legal description therein
for parcel number 989 - 704 -204.
The parties have recently determined that parcel number 948- 300 -206, being that certain real
property legally described as Eisenbeis Addition, Block 2, Lot 9, as recorded in Volume 1 of Plats, page
50 and revised in Volume 2 of Plats, page 24, records of Jefferson County, Washington, was erroneously
omitted from the original deed in 2004.
The parties desire to correct that error and include said parcel in the real property conveyed by
this Deed.
The Board of County Commissioners has approved the correction of the legal description to
include said parcel, as evidenced by their signatures below.
As such this Deed shall be re- recorded to correct the legal description to also include the
following parcel in the conveyance from Jefferson County to the City of Port Townsend:
Eisenbeis Addition, Block 2, Lot 9, as recorded in Volume 1 of Plats, page 50 and revised in
Volume 2 of Plats, page 24
Assessor's Tax Parcel number:
948 - 300 -206
No additional consideration is provided by the City of Port Townsend for said parcel as it is merely a
correction of the legal description of the real property conveyed by the 2004 Deed.
