Subject: 10:15 A.M. Bid Opening for:
Pavement Marking on Jefferson County Roadways for Calendar
Years 2014 -2015
Statement of Issue:
A request to publicly open and read submitted bids at 10:15 A.M., or shortly thereafter, as
indicated in the CALL FOR BIDS dated January 21, 2014 for Pavement Marking on Jefferson
County Roadways in Calendar Years 2014 -2015.
Analysis /Strategic Goals:
The Board issued a Call for Bids for the above services on January 21, 2014. Bid invitations
have been duly advertised in accordance with competitive bidding requirements.
Fiscal Impact:
The Department of Public Works has allowed for Pavement marking services in the 2014
Budget for Road Operations and their 2015 Expenditure Forecast. The total Engineers
Estimate for this two (2) year project is $468,029.30.
Recommendation:
The Board is requested to have the received bids opened and read publicly, and to have the
Public Works Department review and verify the opened bids, and then make a
recommendation to the Board at a later date for award of the Contract.
