SUBJECT: Department of Community Development (DCD) 2013 Annual Report
ATTACHMENT: Power -point slides of presentation
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
This is an opportunity to present highlights of DCD's activities during the past year, including
development permitting activity, with comparisons to some prior years for possible trends. Results of
DCD's on -going efforts to improve its services will also be presented, as well as potential significant
activities anticipated in 2014.
ANALYSIS:
Development activity is an indicator of economic conditions in the County and is of interest to the public
as well as County officials. DCD also wants to report on progress made in its performance and additional
measures that are either already in place or planned to further improve permitting efficiency and customer
service. Significant activities in the area of long range planning will also be noted. The presentation will
make use of a "Power- Point" slide show. Print -outs of the slides are attached.
FISCAL IMPACT /COST - BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
None.
RECOMMENDATION:
Receive the report and provide comments as desired. No official Board action is requested.
