This project is funded by the Road Fund. The Engineers Estimate is $301,063.
Recommendation:

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS
Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County, State of Washington, will receive
sealed bids up until 9:30 A.M. on Monday, March 24, 2014 at the Office of the County Commissioners, basement level
of the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson Street, Port Townsend, Washington, 98368. Bids may be mailed to
the office of the Board of County Commissioners, P.O. Box 1220, Port Townsend, WA, but must be received by the
previously stated date and time. Sealed bids will be opened and read publicly at or about 10:00 A.M. or shortly
thereafter, on Monday, March 24, 2014, at the Jefferson County Commissioners Chambers, basement level of the
Jefferson County Courthouse, for the Quilcene Replacement Shop Project.
This project is for the construction of a road maintenance shop facility at the County site in Quilcene, WA. The new
buildings include one metal clad engineered post framed structure. In addition, the installation of one modular office
unit, to be procured and provided by the County. Site work includes grading, gravel surfacing and storm -water
dispersion. Utilities include septic system, water, phone, and electrical services. The existing County fueling system
onsite will remain in operation without interruption during this construction project.
The Architect's estimate for this project is $301,063 including WSST. Bids must be submitted in writing on the forms
provided, and sealed.
Bids shall be submitted in accordance with the plans and specifications on file at the office of the Director of Public
Works, 623 Sheridan St., Port Townsend, Washington, 98368 (360- 385 -9160) where copies may be obtained at no cost.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a surety bond, postal money order, cash, cashier's check or certified check payable to
the Treasurer of Jefferson County in the sum of 5% of the bid amount, to be forfeited to Jefferson County by the
successful bidder if he fails to enter into a contract and file an acceptable surety bond in the amount of 100% of the
contract price within ten (10) days of the award. The board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and
all bids, and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to Jefferson County and to waive all informalities in the
bidding.
