Project number: 180 543 1868
Statement of Issue:
Recommendation to Award Contract for Construction to Two Grade, LLC., of Port
Angeles, WA. The bid amount for the contract including sales tax at 9% is
$268,652.00.
Analysis /Strategic Goals /Pro's 8 Con's:
A total of six bids were opened during the BoCC Public session on March 24, 2014.
Based on review of costs and qualifications of the apparent low bidders, the most
qualified and responsive low bidder has been selected.
Fiscal Impact /Cost Benefit Analysis:
This work is included in the authorized project budget. The low bid was
approximately 11% under the Engineer's estimate
Recommendation:
The Board is asked to sign the Recommendation of Award of Contract where
indicated, and return the one (1) signed original to Public Works.

• The Call for Bids was issued by the Board of County Commissioners, on March 3, 2014.
• Due notice of Call for Bids was given as required by law.
• Six (6) sealed bid were received and opened in the public meeting held on March 24, 2014
• The Public Works Department has completed checking the bids and has investigated the
qualifications of the lowest bidder.
• The bid tabulation is attached for reference.
The Public Works Department recommends that the construction contract be awarded to the best, most
responsible, and responsive bidder:
