A Realtor, Karen Best from Caldwell Banker contacted me regarding the status of the vacation
and property exchange for Promisel on Chimacum Road and Old Hadlock Road. The Chimacum
Road project is not scheduled to begin until 1998, construction to be in 2000. This is subject to
change on a yearly basis per the 6 Year TIP.
A vacation was requested by the County for Old Hadlock Road and a hearing was held. The fees
were to be covered by property exchange for right of way needed for the intersection
improvement. At this time we do not know how much right of way is needed. We need to find
out if this property is sold in the meantime, can the fees still be covered by the property exchange
for right of way by the new owner, or what?
There's no rush on this but we may want to address this issue so we know how to resolve this
should it occur with other road vacations.
