Dear Sirs: .
Please excuse the delay involved in responding to your road vacation request (Old
• Hadlock Road adjacent to the Hayden Development ministorage). In researching the
- records and checking with a title company, it was discovered that it appears that a
portion of the property adjacent to the Old Hadlock Road is not under the•ownership
• of Hayden Development. This portion is the approximately 75 foot by 330 foot parcel
lying south of Sam Swanson's access road.
A petitioner may request vacation of only those portions of the road which abut the
- his or her property. At this point Jefferson County cannot prepare the petition as you
have requested. Some possible solutions to this problem are to establish the .
ownership of record on the parcel in question to be Hayden Development, to include
- Mr. Lopeman (the current owner of record) as a principal petitioner, or to amend the
vacation request to eliminate the portion of the road abutting the parcel.
