It was understood at all times that Jefferson County would be liable for jury fees and administrative costs. ANALYSIS: The 3rd jury trial for State vs. Michael Pierce resulted in a mistrial. Jefferson County owes the Kitsap County Clerk's Office $8696.02 for jury fees and administrative costs. FISCAL IMPACT: $8696.02 Expenditure RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the Jefferson County Superior Court and the Kitsap County Clerk's office and authorize payment in the amount of $8696.02. Michael Pierce. It is agreed by the parties that Jefferson County is to pay the Kitsap County Clerk the actual costs of additional summons and postage, jury pay and mileage, as well as any meal costs, incurred by Kitsap County for the re -trial of the case identified above. Additionally, Jefferson County will pay the Kitsap County Clerk $100.00 per week for any portion of a week as full payment for all attendant administrative costs including, but not limited to, processing the additional summons, attending to jurors each day, tracking time in and out for jurors and managing juror payments. , Dated this day ofLvbF��, 2014. .
