STATE OF WASHINGTON
COUNTY OF JEFFERSON
Resolution No. 32 -14
WHEREAS, creation of the Office of County Administrator has served this County well
since that office and position was created in 2000; and
WHEREAS, the County Administrator may find it expedient to temporarily absent
himself from the County for business or for personal time off; and
WHEREAS, on occasion it may be impractical to seek a resolution from the Board of
County Commissioners (BOCC) for the appointment of an Acting County Administrator during
his absence; and
WHEREAS, various senior staff have ably served in the capacity as Acting County
Administrator in the past;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the County Administrator may appoint
an Acting County Administrator to perform delegated duties of the County Administrator
effective upon a date to be determined by the County Administrator without first seeking a
resolution from the BOCC to serve until the County Administrator returns or until such time as
the BOCC may appoint a different Acting County Administrator, or Interim County
Administrator, or a new permanent County Administrator.
