Subject: Contract Amendment - NC Machinery
Statement of Issue:
Amendment of contract for the supply of motor graders as needed from time to time over five
years by the Department of Public Works, for which a contract award to NC Machinery Co.
was recommended today.
Analysis /Strategic Goals /Pros £t Cons:
The amendment formalizes the contractor's provision of the county's minimum required
warranty coverages with no change in cost and makes minor typographical corrections.
Fiscal Impact /Cost Benefit Analysis:
Amendment involves no change in cost and simply clarifies the contract.
Recommendation:
Execute the attached contract.

CONTRACT AMENDMENT #1
WHEREAS, Jefferson County, a political subdivision of the State of Washington, hereinafter
"the County" and NC Machinery Co., hereinafter "the Contractor," entered into a Contract to
provide Motor Graders on ;
NOW, THEREFORE the Contract is amended as follows:
1. The word "City" in Subsection 4 ( "Estimated Quantities ") of Section B ( "Detailed
Specifications ") is replaced by the word "County ".
2. The word "City" in Subsection 2.7 ( "Warranty ") of Section D ( "Project Proposal") is
replaced by the word "County ".
3. The warranty coverages for "Complete Unit," "Frame," "Engine," "Transmission" and
"Hydraulic system — Major Components" to be provided by the Contractor to the County
as required by Subsection 2.7 ( "Warranty ") of Section D ( "Project Proposal") of the
document entitled "Specifications and Bid Documents for Motor Graders" shall be equal
to in each case to the respective Minimum Acceptable Coverages listed in Subsection 2.7.
AND THE PARTIES FURTHER AGREE:
That all other terms and obligations expressed in the Contract shall remain in full force and effect
including, but not limited to, any scope of work made part of the original Contract.
