IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that Old Hadlock Road, County Road No. 527109 , from
M.P. 0.58 to M.P. 0.82 , be improved as follows:
To improve pedestrian and non - motorized traffic operations, the intersection of Old Hadlock,
Pomwell and Chimacum Road will be reconfigured. Old Hadlock Road will be realigned to a 90
degree intersection with Chimacum Road. A widened gravel shoulder along the west side of
Chimacum Road will be built and a pedestrian crossing will be installed across Chimacum Road
leading to the Bob Bates Ball Fields.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that an appropriation from the officially adopted road fund budget and
based on the County Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the purpose shown:

X The project is hereby made a part of the officially adopted annual road program in accordance
with R.C.W. 36.81.130.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that:
The construction is to be accomplished by contract in accordance with R.C.W. 36.77.020 et. seq.
X The construction is to be accomplished by County forces in accordance with R.C.W. 36.77.065
and W.A.C. 136.18.

Subject: Resolution to Create a County Project known as;
Rick Tollefson Memorial Trail - Batt Field Connection
County Road No. 527109
Statement of Issue: Create a county project known as the Rick Tollefson Memorial
Trail - Ball Field Connection and add the project to the 2014 Annual Road
Construction Program.
Analysis /Strategic Goals /Pro's ft Con's: There will be increased pedestrian and non -
motorized traffic on Old Hadlock Road as a result of the Rick Tollefson Memorial Trail.
Therefore, to improve pedestrian and non - motorized traffic operations, the
intersection of Old Hadlock, Pomwell and Chimacum Road will be reconfigured. Old
Hadlock Road will be realigned to a 90 degree intersection with Chimacum Road. A
widened gravel shoulder along the west side of Chimacum Road will be built and a
pedestrian crossing will be installed across Chimacum Road leading to the Bob Bates
Batt Fields.
The Rick Tollefson Memorail Trail -Ball Field Connection project was included in the
proposed 2015 Annual Road Construction Program and in the adopted 2015 -2020 Six -
Year Transportation Improvement Program.
Fiscal Impact /Cost Benefit Analysis: The total estimated cost for the project is
$85,000 and will be funded through the County Road Fund.
Recommendation: Public Works recommends the Board adopt this resolution and add
the project to the 2014 Annual Road Construction Program thereby creating a county
project known as the Rick Tollefson Memorial Trail - Batt Field Connection.
