Memorial Field Grandstand Roof Repair
Statement of Issue: Award of Contract to Primo Construction of Sequim, Washington
for repair and replacement of the Memorial Field grandstand roof.
Analysis /Strategic Goals /Pro's Et Con's: Public Works has completed checking the
bids for the above referenced project and recommends award of the contract to
Primo Construction for their bid amount of $299,399.88 (tax included), base bid and
alternates #1 through #3 inclusive.
Fiscal Impact /Cost Benefit Analysis: Project funds include an estimated $145,000 of
Proposition 1 distributions from City of Port Townsend. Remaining funds are from the
County.
Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board approve the Award of
Contract to Primo Construction by signing and returning the enclosed memorandum to
Public Works for further processing.

Memorial Field Grandstand Roof Repair Project
County Project No. 1954
In the matter of awarding a contract for the Memorial Field Grandstand Roof Repair Project:
• The Call for Bids was issued by the Board of County Commissioners on October 13, 2014;
• Due notice and advertisement of the Call for Bids was given as required by law;
• Three sealed bids were received and opened in public on November 3, 2014 at 10:15 a.m. in
the Commissioner's Chambers;
• The Public Works Department has completed checking the bids and has investigated the
qualifications of the lowest bidder to determine responsiveness;
• The bid tabulation is attached for reference;
The Public Works Department recommends that the construction contract be awarded to the lowest
responsive bidder:
Primo Construction of Sequim, Washington for their bid amount of $299,399.88 (tax included)
for the
Memorial Field Grandstand Roof Repair Project, base bid and alternates #1 through #3 inclusive.
