MANAGERS REPORT a) If time allows 5. ADJOURN Possible Draft Motion of Acceptance of the Update to the 2002 PROS Plan: “The Jefferson County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board (the Board) has followed an in-depth process to complete an update to the 2002 Jefferson County Parks, Recreation and Open Space Comprehensive Plan. The process has included: (1) preplanning: review of background and planning environment, orientation to the current state of the system, and securing a consultant; (2) planning: county profile, goals and objectives, public involvement, inventory, demand and needs analysis, recommendations/action plan, and capital improvement plan. In addition, board members completed a park assessment tour and heard presentations from key partners such as the Jefferson Equestrian Association, the YMCA, park volunteers, and project managers for the Rick Tollefsen Trail, the Chimacum Safe Routes to Schools, and the Quilcene Complete Streets. The board has reviewed the December 3, 2014 “JCPRAB draft of the Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Plan”, and on this this day, Wednesday, December 3, 2014 recommends it for adoption with the minor changes discussed in this meeting, by the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners at the earliest possible date, but no later than March 1, 2015 in order to reach the Recreation and Conservation Office planning certification for grants in 2016.”
