1 JEFFERSON COUNTY-CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND SHORELINE SUBSTANTIAL DEVELOPMENT PERMIT EXEMPTION WASHINGTON STATE SHORELINE MANAGEMENT ACT (RCW 90.58) PROPONENT: Ron and Ruth DeRosa • DATE ISSUED: June 5, 1990 CASE NUMBER: XMP90-0023 PROPOSAL: To construct a beach access stairway down a twenty-five (25) foot bank. The development is proposed to be within Squamish Harbor of Hood Canal and/or its associated wetlands. LEGAL DESCRIPTION: 941 Southpoint Road in Section 4, Township 27 North, Range 1 East, WM. FINDINGS: 1. Proponents have obtained a permit for on-site sewage disposal and have drilled a well. They plan to construct a single family residence within a year. Due to the narrowness of their lot, they need to construct the stairway prior to constructing the residence. 2. The proposal is not a substantial development and is a normal appurtenance to a single family residence. CONDITIONS: 1. This approval pertains to Jefferson-Port Townsend Shoreline Management Master Program requirements only. The approval of any other agency with jurisdiction or any other required permits shall be obtained prior to undertaking the project. 2. Work within the jurisdiction of the shoreline program other than described above shall receive separate review and approval from this office. 3. No fill or other material may be placed in the waters or intertidal areas of Jefferson County or the City of Port Townsend. 4. The landing shall be constructed as close as practicable to the bank. 5. No authorization is given for riprap or a bulkhead to protect the proposed pilings. NOTICE: This exemption does not excuse the proponent from complying with other local, state, and federal ordinances, regulations, or statutes applicable to the proposed development. as. es W.
