Land disturbing activities include, but are not limited to clearing, grading, filling, excavation, and compaction associated with stabilization of structures and road construction. Native vegetation is vegetation comprised on plant species, other than noxious weeds, that are indigenous to the coastal region of the Pacific Northwest and which reasonably could have been expected to naturally occur on the site. A hard surface area which causes water to run off the surface in greater quantities or at an increased rate of flow from the flow present under natural conditions prior to development. Common impervious surfaces include, but are not limited to roof tops, walkways, patios, driveways, parking lots or storage areas, concrete or asphalt paving, gravel roads, packed earthen materials, and oiled, macadam or other surfaces which similarly impede the natural infiltration of stormwater. DEVELOPMENT v.REDEVELOPMENT Divide the total existing impervious surface above by the size of the parcel and convert to a percentage: Does the site have 35%or more of xistin I impervious surface? Circle: Yes No FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS: If the answer is yes, the proposal is considered redevelopment and the attached Figure 2 should be used to determine the applicable Minimum Requirements. If the answer is no,the proposal is considered new development and the attached Figure 1 should be used. At this juncture, the applicant should refer to the applicable Flow Chart to determine the Minimum Requirements for stormwater management. DCD staff will help verify the classification of the project and the application requirements. For proponents of "small" projects who must comply only with Minimum Requirement #2—Construction Stormwater Pollution Prevention—an additional submittal is not required. The proponent is responsible for employing the 12 Elements to control erosion and prevent sediment and other pollutants from leaving the site during the construction phase of the project. Pick up the Construction Stormwater Pollution Prevention(SWPP) Best Management Practices(BMPs) Packet. Proponents of"medium" projects—those that must meet only Minimum Requirements #1 through #5—and for "large° projects those that must meet all 10 Minimum Requirements—are required to submit a Stormwater Site Plan. DCD has prepared a submittal template of a Stormwater Site Plan, principally for rural residential projects. Complete the template in the Stormwater Site Plan Instructions and Submittal Template or prepare a Stormwater Site Plan using the step-by-step guidance in the Stonnwater Management Manual. SBA Site ID:WA40442-T-01 April 15,2014 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY At the request of SBA Network Services, Inc., FDH Engineering, Inc. performed a structural analysis of the monopole located in Chimacum, WA to determine whether the tower is structurally adequate to support both the existing and proposed loads pursuant to the Structural Standard for Antenna Supporting Structures and Antennas, ANSI/TIA-222-G and 2012 International Code (IBC). Information pertaining to the existing/proposed antenna loading, current tower geometry, geotechnical data, foundation dimensions, and member sizes was obtained from: ❑ Sabre Communications Corporation(Job No. 06-06047)Structural Design Report dated June 6, 2005 ❑ LSI Adapt, Inc. (Project No.WA05-12374-GEO)Geotechnical Engineering Evaluation dated May 10,2005 ❑ SBA Network Services, Inc. This analysis has been performed in accordance with the 2012 International Building Code based upon an ultimate 3-second gust wind speed of 110 mph converted to a nominal 3-second gust wind speed of 85 mph per section 1609.3.1 as required for use in the TIA-222-G standard per Exception#5 of Section 1609.1.1. Exposure Category B with topographic category 1, Risk Category II,and Spectral Response Accelerations of SS= 1.277 and Si=0.519 were used in this analysis. Conclusions With the existing and proposed antennas from Sprint in place (see Table 1), the tower meets the requirements of the ANSI/TIA-222-G standard and 2012 IBC provided the Recommendations listed below are satisfied. Furthermore, provided the foundation was designed and constructed to support the original design reactions (see Sabre Job No. 06-06047), the foundation should have the necessary capacity to support both the proposed and existing loading. For a more detailed description of the analysis of the tower, see the Results section of this report. Our structural analysis has been performed assuming all information provided to FDH Engineering, Inc. is accurate (i.e., the steel data, tower layout, existing antenna loading, and proposed antenna loading) and that the tower has been properly erected and maintained per the original design drawings. Recommendations To ensure the requirements of the ANSI/TIA-222-G standard and 2012 IBC are met with the existing and proposed loading in place,we have the following recommendations: 1. The proposed feed lines should be installed inside the pole's shaft. 2. RRH/RRU Stipulation: The proposed equipment may be installed in any configuration as determined by the client. SBA Site ID:WA40442-T-01 April 15,2014 RESULTS The following yield strength of steel for individual members was used for analysis: Table 2-Material Strength Member Type Yield Strength Tower Shaft Sections 65 ksi Base Plate 60 ksi Anchor Bolts 75 ksi Table 3 displays the summary of the ratio (as a percentage)of force in the member to their capacities. Values greater than 100% indicate locations where the maximum force in the member exceeds its capacity. Note: Capacities up to 105% are considered acceptable. Table 4 displays the maximum foundation reactions. Table 5 displays the maximum antenna rotations at service wind speeds(dishes only). If the assumptions outlined in this report differ from actual field conditions, FDH Engineering, Inc. should be contacted to perform a revised analysis. Furthermore, as no information pertaining to the allowable twist and sway requirements for the existing or proposed appurtenances was provided, deflection and rotation were not taken into consideration when performing this analysis.
