Statement of Issue:
Recommendation to Award Contract for Construction to G. Little Construction of Port
Townsend, WA 98368. The bid amount for the contract including sales tax at 9% is
$98,409.56.
Analysis /Strategic Goals /Pro's 8 Con's:
A total of three bids were opened during the BoCC Public session on January 26, 2015
Based on review of costs and qualifications of the apparent low bidders, the most
qualified and responsive low bidder has been selected.
Fiscal Impact /Cost Benefit Analysis:
The Architect's for this work was $88,157. This bid is 11% over the estimate. This bid
is from a responsive and responsible Contractor, and is qualified for this work.
Recommendation:
The Board is asked to sign the Recommendation of Award of Contract where
indicated, and return the one (1) signed original to Central Services.

• The Call for Bids was issued by the Board of County Commissioners, on January 5, 2015
• Due notice of Call for Bids was given as required by law.
• Three sealed bid were received and opened in the public meeting held on January 26, 2015.
• The lowest Bid, submitted by WHR Construction of Streator, Illinois was disqualified, as they do
not currently hold a valid Contractor's License in the State of Washington.
• The Central Services Department has completed checking the bids and has investigated the
qualifications of the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
• The bid tabulation is attached for reference.
The Central Services Department recommends that the Contract for Construction be awarded to the best,
most responsible, and responsive bidder:
G. Little Construction, Inc., of Port Townsend for the amount of $98,409.56 inclusive of WSST for the
