Request to Reappoint Jerry Gorsline to the Conservation Futures Citizen
Oversight Committee
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Staff requests that the County Commissioners reappoint Jerry Gorsline to the Conservation Futures
Committee to serve another 4 -year term as a Citizen — District #2 representative.
ANALYSIS /STRATEGIC GOALS/PRO'S and CON'S:
A District 42 vacancy on the CF Committee was advertised in the The Leader on December 24, 2014. Mr.
Gorsline expressed interest by the January 16, 2015 deadline. He resides at Cape George and was the only
applicant for this seat during that application period.
Mr. Gorsline has very capably served the Committee since 2006. Staff is pleased he is seeking another term
and has heard no objections to his potential reappointment from any of the other members.
FISCAL IMPACT /COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
There is no fiscal impact to the county's General Fund for appointing Mr. Gorsline to serve on the CF
Committee.
RECOMMENDATION:
Reappoint Jerry Gorsline to the Conservation Futures Citizen Oversight Committee to continue as a citizen
representative of District 2.
