Analysis /Strategic Goals /Pro's ft Con's: Public Works has completed checking the bids for the above referenced project, and recommends award of the contract to Bruch and Bruch Construction. This Contract is for construction of the road realignment between Dowans Creek Road milepost 0.85 and milepost 1.53. The road realignment is necessary in order to move the road out of an active landslide area and preserve access to properties served by Dowans Creek Road beyond the slide area. Fiscal Impact /Cost Benefit Analysis: The Bid amount is $338,466.75. This will be funded at 75% by FEMA, 12.5% by Washington State, and 12.5% by the County Road Fund. Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board authorize the Award of Contract to Bruch and Bruch Construction, and return the original to Public Works for further processing.
