No. 503608 Rural Arterial Program Project No. 1609 -02 Statement of Issue: Award of Contract to Lakeside Industries, Inc. of Port Angeles, WA. for their bid of $971,323.60 for the above referenced project. Analysis /Strategic Goals /Pro's 8 Con's: Public Works has completed checking the bids for the above referenced project, and recommends award of the contract to Lakeside Industries, Inc. for their bid amount of $971,323.60. Fiscal Impact /Cost Benefit Analysis: The Bid amount of $971,323.60 will be funded at 90% by the County Road Administration Board, Rural Arterial Program. Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board authorize the Award of Contract to Lakeside Industries, Inc., and return the original to Public Works for further processing. Project No. 1609 -02 • The Call for Bids was issued by the Board of County Commissioners on February 23, 2015. • Due notice of the Call for Bids was given as required by law. • Sealed bids were received and opened in public on March 23, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the Commissioner's Chambers. • The Public Works Department has completed checking the bids and has investigated the qualifications of the lowest bidder. The Public Works Department recommends that the construction contract be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder: Lakeside Industries, Inc. of Port Angeles, Washington for their bid amount of $971,323.60. for the Paradise Bay Road, Phase II Project, Paradise Bay Road M.P. 0.37 to M.P. 1.53, County Road No. 503608, County Project No. CR1873, Rural Arterial Program Project No. 1609 -02.
