Subject: Bid Opening for Jefferson County Jail
-Fire Alarm Replacement Project
Statement of Issue:
Publicly open and read bids submitted in accordance with the advertised 'Call for Bids'
for the project referenced above. Submitted bids will be opened and publicly read at
10:00 a.m. or shortly thereafter.
Analysis /Strategic Goals /Pro's ft Con's:
These improvements will create and maintain a safer working environment for County
Staff and the inmates. Replacement of the outdated fire alarm panel will promote
safety in the County Jail.
Fiscal Impact /Cost Benefit Analysis:
This project will be funded out of the Construction and Renovation Fun. The
Engineer's Estimate for this project is $126,682.00.
Recommendation:
Direct Central Services staff to open and read publicly the bids submitted for this
project.
