2.) The project shall adhere to the Best Management Practices (BMPs)to control stormwater,
erosion and sediment during construction. BMPs shall address permanent measures to
stabilize soil exposed during construction, and in the design and operation of stormwater
and drainage control systems.
3.) The site plan as submitted with the Building Permit application on March 11, 2015 has
been reviewed for consistency under the UDC, and has been approved by Jefferson
County Department of Community Development. Any modifications, changes, and/or
additions to the stamped, approved site plan dated March 19, 2015 shall be resubmitted
for review and approval by Jefferson County Department of Community Development.

Deck dimensions are 20'x16',with an area of approximately 320 s .f. The deck height will be above 24"
only at the entire southern edge of deck area.This side will have railing that will be 36" high at the top
of 2x6" railing. With 4x4 post 4' o. c. and stainless cable at 4" centers or less per codes.There will be no
stairs that access the new deck area.
The surface of the deck will be 5/4x4"cedar painted with deck over or similar product.The framing
members will be of treated wood to meet all codes.The joist will be 2x8 with 4x10 beams under,
supported by 4x4 posts.All connections will be Simpson Zmax,and fasteners will be of the appropriate
length and coating for use with the structural products.
The excavation will consist of 6 holes 1' in diameter with a minimum depth of 1'. Footing depths will
vary depending on existing conditions.The existing landscaping will be undisturbed with exception of
the removal of 2 landscaping plants.
The intent of this project is to add additional area to the front porch, but to leave the area as
undisturbed as possible beneath the proposed deck.
